Jim Panzee's plans for a peaceful nap are interrupted by Tortoise's plea to join him for the jungle race. This causes Grumpy Monkey to get even grumpier, but he goes along. After one of the other runners bumps into a tree and sends down a shower of bananas, Grumpy Monkey is suddenly motivated to finish the race and get the biggest share of bananas.
