It all begins when siblings Jack and Annie stumble onto a treehouse filled with books. They soon learn that opening the pages of these books will open the door to time travel and a myriad of historic ventures. In the first book they are transported to the land of dinosaurs where they are rescued by a gigantic beast and unravel the mystery to finding their way back home. This tale provides just enough historic information to keep it interesting and a little intrigue to keep the reader thinking. The predictable pattern of the story encourages a young reader’s confidence but the story ideas are fresh. A satisfying read for kids just emerging from the early reader stage and a fun series for parents to discuss with their kids.
